Bread is Life
Bread has been part of human history for thousands of years. It is a staple food essential for survival.
In Christianity, bread is a profound symbol of the Body of Christ – the “Bread of Life”. At the Last Supper, Jesus broke bread with his disciples symbolising His sacrifice and establishing what would become the Eucharist, or Holy Communion, which Christians have continued to observe for over 2000 years.
Throughout history, God has used bread as an instrument to reveal His Word to His people. It is a divine gift, a symbol of life, and a gesture of love, grace, and compassion. In the Lord’s Prayer, we ask Our Father to “Give us this day our daily bread” – a sacred request for both physical and spiritual nourishment.
As a Christian, baking for my loved ones is a form of prayer and an act of service. To rise before the sun, work with my hands, and transform flour and water into nourishing bread is an essential part of living my Christian vocation.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry; he who believes in Me will never thirst.”
John 6:24-35
